With Christmas just around the corner, V. M. Salgaocar Institute of International Hospitality Education (VMSIIHE), Raia organized a fruit-mixing activity in preparation for the festive season. The students and faculty came together to engage in the celebration.

Christmas isn’t complete without the traditional Christmas cake and making it isn’t a simple process, but one that requires months of preparation. The fruits are immersed in liquor and kept soaking for months. This process makes the fruits obtain a deep and stimulating flavor with an enriching aroma that is used to prepare delicious Christmas cakes and lip-smacking puddings.

Fruit mixing, a culinary activity associated with Christmas, has gained popularity in recent times. It brings people together to celebrate and usher in the festive spirit.

The fruit mixing celebration was organized by the Cuisine Club members at the institute with the assistance of Chef Sebastian, Professor Culinary Arts, and Chef Sujatha Madhavan, Associate Professor-Food Production. Director/Principal, Prof. Irfan Mirza graced the occasion with his presence.
