The Panjim Carnival Committee today announced the prize winners of the Carnival float parade held on 6th February 2016 in Panjim.
In the traditional category, the first prize goes to Uxichem Ghod from (Quepem) while the second prize went to Goan Vegetables, (Curtorim); third prize to Goencho Mando, ( Quepem), fourth prize to Dhobi,( St.Estevam) and the fifth place to Goan Musical Instruments, (Margao). Consolation prizes went to Ruchiche Folam,( Quepem); Goan Mando & Dulpodam,( Ponda); Real Pirates( Margao); Coconut Tree Uses, (Vasco) and Wedding Reception,( Arpora).
In the Club/Institutional category, the first prize was awarded to Swacch Bharat, (Sangolda), second prize to Minion, (Curtorim), third prize went to Save Wildlife, (Panjim) while fourth prize was awarded to Save King of the Jungle, (Calangute) and the fifth prize to Save Goa Save Trees, (Benaulim). Consolation prize were handed out to, Nature Call Butterfly on as Shoeflower, (Taleigao), Forest –Fish, (Panjim), Life is Precious, (Caranzalem), Alien v/s Predator, (Corlim) and Lady Bug on the Leaf,(Saligao).
In the family category the first prize was awarded to Sea View Aquatic, (Merces), second prize went to One God One Religion,( Macazana), third prize was awarded to Ancient Goan Race Before Civilization, (Saligao), fourth prize to FC Goa Fans Float Mascot, (Campal), and the fifth prize to Funny Coffin Boys (Vasco). Consolation prize was awarded to Porcupine, (Colvale),Save Elephant Save Wildlife,(Ponda), Requesting For Peace, (Curtorim) , Deaddiction ,(Panjim) and Goa Marathon, (Assagao).
In the Fun Junk category the first prize went to Made of Junk Parts, Mapusa, second prize went to Pirates,( Quepem), third prize to Fun Junk, (Benaulim), fourth prize to Grasshoppers, (Quepem) and the fifth prize to Junk from Scrap,(Colva). Consolation prizes were handed out to Junk Car,(Colva); Junk Car,( Britona),Junk Car, (Quepem), Old With Messages ,(Arpora) and Junk Car (Sangolda).
In the Clown/Joker category the first prize was bagged by What Goa was What Goa is, (Divar), second prize to Statue of Farmer,(Churchorem), third prize to Farmer, (Xeldem); fourth prize to Save Nature Save Habitat,( Benaulim) and the fifth prize went to King of Musik, (Porvorim). Consolation prizes were handed out to Nursery Kids, (Vasco); Baby Spreading Message, (Sangolda) ;Men Soon Replaced by Robot, (Quepem); Alien is Calling us to His Planet, (Quepem)and Enthusiasm in Sports, (Agassaim).
In the Sponsored Category first prize went to FC Goa,(Panjim) and second prize to Hero with Football,(Chinchinim).
