Indian fans can catch the all-new 2022-23 season of LaLiga on Sports18 Channels and VootSelect

The upcoming, LaLiga 2022-23 season will be aired exclusively on Viacom18 – on Sports18 – 1, Sports18 – 1 HD and VootSelect for fans in India. The first of 38 matchdays is set to kick-off on August 13, 2022 in India with CA Osasuna taking on Sevilla FC from 12:30AM IST onwards.

Spain’s 20 top-flight clubs have been preparing throughout the summer in the pre-season sessions and friendly matches ahead of the kick-off and the excitement among fans has been brewing. With several massive transfers and signings including Robert Lewandowski to FC Barcelona, Aurelien Tchouameni to Real Madrid and several more, this season may be one where fans get to witness dynamics changing. Another potentially pivotal change in roles comes as Ernesto Valverde returns to LaLiga as a coach, for Athletic Bilbao, who ended the previous season at the eighth spot. The top stars and clubs look and will look at strengthening their position and taking the title home, while the newly promoted clubs Almeria, Real Valladolid, Girona and Tenerife aim to make a mark and secure their spot in the first division. LaLiga signed a landmark broadcast deal with Viacom18 in 2021, with the 2021-22 season being the first season of LaLiga on MTV and VootSelect in India. The partnership proved to be hugely successful as LaLiga was made more accessible to wider audiences across parts of the country and the Spanish league deepened connections with existing fans while garnering newer fans. For the 2022-23 season, matches will be aired across Viacom18 platforms and fans will get to witness all new content packaging and promotion to enhance the viewing experience even further.
