Hugo Boumous had a night to remember at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium at Fatorda on Saturday, scoring two goals for FC Goa against Kerala Blasters, leading to a 3-2 win for the Gaurs in front of their fans.
As a result of his excellent display, Boumous has won the “Gaur of the match” award conducted by FC Goa on social media.
The Frenchman was on the score sheet along with teammate Jackichand Singh, who grabbed his first goal of the season, and made it to the Gaur of the match shortlist as well.
However, Boumous’ brace was enough to give him a commanding lead over Jacki in the votes, eventually resulting in a comfortable victory.
The attacking midfielder has now scored six goals for the Gaurs this season to add to his four assists this campaign, highlighting just how important he has been to Goa’s charge to the top of the Hero Indian Super League (ISL) standings.
