Goa Institute of Management (GIM) one of the premier B-schools of India received an award from ABP News for ‘Best B-School with Industry related Curriculum in Marketing’. Professor Tarun Pasricha, Associate Professor at GIM, received the award on behalf of the institute during a ceremony held recently at Taj Lands End in Mumbai.
ABP News formerly known as Star News hosts the National B-School Awards to bring in positive difference and recognition in the education fraternity. The National B-School awards have been held consecutively for the last three years to recognize institutions that are innovative, modern and industry related in their curriculum in the field of Marketing, Advertising, Marketing Communications, Engineering, Technology and other areas. This year the awards saw a participation of more than 130 engineering and management colleges from across the country. The prestigious national level awards are well researched and selected by an independent jury and a panel of professionals who believe in nurturing talent and recognizing the best.
While expressing his happiness on Goa Institute of Management being conferred the prestigious award Dr. Sunil Rai, Director, Goa Institute of Management said, “It is a proud moment for all of us, that our efforts are being recognized by the industry leaders.” He further added that the awards have inspired the institute to strive harder and be known as a centre for excellence within the country.
Some of the other awards that were presented were awards for Best Student in Management, Outstanding B-School Overall, Best Engineering College, Best Engineering Institute among others.
