In a boon to the state’s existent diverse architectural landscape, Goa has gained its first design experience centre that will help forge a new path for architecture and interior design communities. The Design Online Company (TDOC) recently opened its doors in Panaji to deliver expertly curated sustainable construction and design solutions.

Located in the heart of the state capital, TDOC is a labour of love by architect Hemlata Pai Raikar, founder of TDOC, backed by a skilled team. It is a one-stop design concept store that also serves as a consultation and conceptualisation space for the architecture and interior design communities to ideate and plan their spaces.

Vishwajit P. Rane, Minister for Health, TCP, Forest, Urban Development, Women & Child Development, spoke at the opening of TDOC as the chief guest and highlighted the importance ofsupporting local entrepreneurs who engage in sustainable construction and design.

“Today,  interior design and people’s lifestyles are changing; they want to live life with a different perspective and quality. Arch. Hemlata Pai Raikar has worked hard to take The Design Online Company’s innovative concept forward and transform the thought process in terms of design. This concept of taking the design process online, creating a moodboard and theme that can be seen and discussed in the comfort of your own space which was earlier unimaginable is now possible,” said Vishwajit P. Rane.

Dr Deviya Vishwajit Rane, MLA Poriem Constituency and chairperson, Goa State Forest Development Corporation who  was the event’s guest of honour, said that TDOC, through its innovation, would provide easy access and more creative options for architects and interior designers to visualise and finalise their designs.

“The Design Online Company will be a hub of inspiration for ideas to take shape and dreams to become reality. TDOC will set high standards for the design industry. This design experience centre is a one-of-a-kind space, with all design needs met under one roof. According to the co-founder ofApple Inc. Steve Jobs, ‘Design is not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works’, which encapsulates TDOC’s goal,”stated Dr Deviya Vishwajit Rane.

Delivering the A to Z of architectural and interior solutions, TDOC is spread across two floors, allowing people ample space to visualise their ideal architectural and interior decor needs. By tapping into decades of industry expertise and comfort with diverse crafting tools and materials, TDOC enables people to conceptualise their spaces with the final outcomes available for viewing and examination virtually.

“Built out of our design offerings, TDOC offers people both in Goa and out-of-state, a visual depiction of how their final space will appear. Having 60 years of combined design experience under our belts, our team of designers and innovators at TDOC are expertly equipped to conceptualise and execute everyone’s design dreams,” said Hemlata Pai Raikar, adding that TDOC has been able  “to provide a comfortable and easy avenue for our clients to realise their projects”.

TDOC prioritises both in-person and online consultations, offering people located out of Goa the same service perks as those present in-store. These comprise initial consultations to create a blueprint, a design process which is a collaborative effort between experts and advisees, material selection done with cutting-edge virtual reality and artificial intelligence systems and design execution from the comfort of the spaces provided at TDOC.
