
A radical twist to the typically traditional concept of a PoSRo, a Konkani word for shop or store, will showcase a host of new age, millennial and quirky fashion and accessory labels for the first time in Goa, as part of a curated fashion pop-up on December 8 and 9 this year.
The fashion and accessory pop-up event ‘PoSRo’, an exciting and edgy initiative taken up by Archana Sumeet Bhobe of Snip and Kedhar Gawde of Celebrity Locker Entertainment, will be hosted at the Vivanta by Taj Panaji. The pop-up will showcase some of the quirkiest, contemporary fashion brands in the country, which includes ‘The Temple House’, a label promoted by former supermodel and spiritualist Rhea Pillai, Soham Dave’s ‘Zari’, and more than 30 others innovative and snazzy brands.
Rhea Pillai’s label, ‘The Temple House’ is a salute to all things that are celebratory and reverential. “In keeping with the need of the hour and with an eye on the pulse of environment as well as individual comfort, I work with fabrics that are natural and organic. It allows the skin to breathe, often has medical benefits, is kind to the environment and wears like a dream,” says Pillai who has taught the Art of Living techniques to close to 20,000 people over the last two decades.
The highlight of Pillai’s label is the raw material used to put together the products, which is drawn from lotus stems, rose petals, hemp seeds, organic cotton, modal, bamboo, milk, orange, eucalyptus and other natural products.
Soham Dave’s latest line ‘Zari’, is summarised by a joyous mingle of the gold and silver, which generates a rare sense of beauty with a radiant sheen. “‘Zari’ offers minimalist lifestyle products for the conscious urban consumer with emphasis on Indian rooted textiles. This year, the brand has forayed into specially handwoven cloth from Bengal,” Dave said.
Archana Sumeet Bhobe, the founder and CEO of the chain of Snip Salons & Spas, is no stranger to fashion and accessory pop-ups. “We have successfully hosted several fashion and accessory pop-ups, launches and other interesting retail events at our premises. The most prominent names to have been featured are Savio Jon, Raw Mango, Tan Baan and others. With PoSRo we will be offering off- beat and premium brands at an affordable price under a single roof,” Bhobe explained.
Kedhar Gawde, who is a co-organiser of the pop-up is known for his deep association with fashion and luxury, being a creative entrepreneur, show director and influencer. “Together Archana and I have carefully selected this bouquet of designers who have something fresh and innovative to offer. PoSRo will offer affordable,sustainable fashion for both, men & women, said Gawde.
Nearly 2,500-3,000 patrons are expected to attend the pop-up which will be held between 11am and 8pm on the 8th and 9th of December at Vivanta by Taj, Panaji.
