Said Dr. Ravish Suresh Kolwalkar on the initiative, “We are happy to announce the launch of our multi speciality hospital in Mapusa. With an emphasis on cure and care, the hospital offers critical healthcare services on par with global standards.
The Hospital has two state of the art ICUs(Intensive Care Units) – MICU (Medical Intensive Care Unit) & SICU (Surgical Intensive Care Unit) with Ventilator facilities four bedded each. Additionally there are three operation theatres (O.T.) out of which two are modular theatres, all with laminar air flow system and a labour room. The laminar air flow system is essential to perform joint replacement surgeries, spine surgeries, eye surgeries & neurosurgeries.
The O.Ts are well equipped and have Image Intensifier ‘C’ Arm, anaesthesia workstations, Surgeon/ anaesthesia pendants with central vacuum (suction) air, gases. One operation theatre has L.E.D & Halogen lights. The benefits of L.E.D lighting is that it protects the soft tissues during surgery by not producing excess heat and hence avoids thermal neurosis of tissues & infection.
The Radiology Department has top end X-ray machines which has a floating (trauma) table. Besides giving superior quality images and less radiation, it makes things easy for trauma (fracture) patient while taking X-rays. This is connected to computerised digital systems. It also has top end Ultrasonography machinery where in routine abdominal, transvaginal, echocardiography & color Doppler can be performed.
The hospital has a dedicated physiotherapy and rehabilitation unit which has tractions (electrical) T.E.N.S., Ultrasound, Paraffin wax bath therapy etc. The hospital also has its own fully equipped 24 hours Ambulance Service.
