Defending champions Dempo Challengers, one of the seven teams participating in the upcoming PGML 3.0, on Wednesday at a formal ceremony, unveiled their official jersey for the T-20 tourney’s third season, organised by the Panjim Gymkhana.

Apart from the Dempo Challengers match jersey, the team’s training jersey and fan jersey were also unveiled at the event.

“The fact that Dempo Challengers is participating in the PGML for the third successive season indicates our steadfast commitment to promoting sports. Our official team jersey is a reflection of our competitive spirit and bonds of unity and brotherhood,” Dempo said at the formal unveiling ceremony.

The official jersey was unveiled at a formal function at Dempo House, which was attended by Shrinivas V Dempo, chairman of the Dempo Group of Companies and owner of the Dempo Challengers, Rajesh Dempo, vice president Dempo Cricket Club, Yatish Dempo, Director Dempo Group of Companies, Manoj Caculo, president of the Panjim Gymkhana, Milindra Naik Dessai, Chief Marketing Officer, Shree jai Ganesh Ispat, Vijay Khemka, Director, V2J Minerals, Gajal Jhunjhunwala, Director, V2J Minerals, Sidharth Shirodkar, senior vice president and head Goa region of ASK Private Wealth, Mandar Acharya, state head of Kotak Mutual Fund, Rohan Dessai, secretary GCA. The Dempo Challengers coach and squad were also present at the function.

President of the Panjim Gymkhana, Manoj Caculo, said that with the addition of one more team, Dessertsnmore Avengers, to the League’s roster, the PGML 3.0 would be the biggest of the three editions of the annual T-20 event so far.

“The past two editions of the PGML were a resounding success. The League has progressed and grown to include seven teams now. The third season promises to set the tone for the cricket season in Goa for the year 2024,” Caculo said.

The first edition of the T-20 league was won by the Prescon Panthers, while the Dempo Challengers won PGML 2.0.

PGML 3.0 kicks off on January 6 with two opening-day fixtures, which will see Dempo Challengers take on Prescon Panthers and the Priority Titans will go head-on against RC Goa.

The PGML 3.0 will feature 25 matches, including the final game, which has been scheduled for February 18.
