Chowgule College is set to host Oberon Trio, from Berlin, Germany. The trio will be performing for the first time in Goa, on 20th of February, 2013 at 5p.m at the Chowgule College Auditorium.
The Oberon Trio comprises of three western classical musicians who strive to illuminate the unique moments of creativity and joy in its performances. They are Henja Sennler the violinst, Antoaneta Emanuilova who will be playing the Cello and Jonathan Aner playing the Piano.
After a successful tour around the globe including Germany, Italy, Israel, Egypt and others, the musical crew will be showcasing their talent to the Goan audience. Through their enthusiasm for works from all traditions and styles, they hope to directly convey music that is perpetually vibrant, personal and that which will come alive to the audience. The musicians gained valuable insight into music making through their studies, and also through collaborations with world famous composers such as Benjamin Yusupov and Jörg Widmann.
The trio has benefited from the support of organizations including the Villa Musica Foundation. One of the best reviews they have received is from a reputed German magazine Das Orchester applauded these musical trio complementaing them by talking about, “this new ensemble’s deep maturity and stylistic command.”
Oberon Trio will perform at the auditorium at the Chowgule College campus on Wednesday 20th February at 5:00pm. Entry is free to all.
