Chowgule College has announced commencement of new batches of Spanish language classes at its Spanish Centre.

There would be two batches of Spanish Basic  A1.1 level commencing in January 2014. One batch will be between 4- and 6 p.m. which will be held on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The second batch will be between 6-00 and 9-00 p.m. and it will be held on Monday and Wednesday. The first batch will start on Tuesday, 7th January and the second batch will start on Wednesday, 8th January, 2014 in the premises of Chowgule College at Margao.

The Spanish Centre at Chowgule College has been established by the Student Support Services in association with the reputed Instituto Cervantes, New Delhi. Instituto Cervantes is the official organization founded by the Government of Spain in 1991. Its mission is to promote Spanish language, teaching and fostering knowledge of the cultures of Spanish-speaking countries throughout the world.  With 76 centres located in more than 44 countries around the world, Instituto Cervantes is one of the most credible Spanish language institutes in the world. Chowgule College has signed an MOU with Instituto Cervantes. The Spanish Centre of Chowgule College is now the only Centre in the state of Goa to be associated with Instituto Cervantes.

It will involve 60 hours of learning spread over seven/ten weeks. The course will be conducted by the Spanish national Ms. Edith Aurrecoechea, an expert in the subject. Certificates will be issued by Instituto Cervantes to successful candidates on completing the course.

 Spanish is the second language of international communication. It is spoken in 20 countries and it is the second most spoken language in the U.S. Limited seats are available for the language course.
