Chowgule College will begin its new batch of Spanish language classes from the first week of September. Classes will be held twice or thrice a week, at the college premises.
The language course will be conducted by Spanish national Edith Aurrecoechea, an expert in the subject. Classes will be conducted for Beginner A 1.1 (60 hours) and Beginner A 1.2 (60 hours). It will involve 60 hours of learning spread over twelve weeks. Certificates will be issued by Instituto Cervantes to successful candidates on completing the course.
The Spanish Centre at Chowgule College has been established by the Student Support Services in association with the reputed Instituto Cervantes, New Delhi. Instituto Cervantes is the official organization founded by the Government of Spain in 1991. Its mission is to promote Spanish language, teaching and fostering knowledge of the cultures of Spanish-speaking countries throughout the world. With 76 centres located in more than 44 countries around the world, Instituto Cervantes is one of the most credible Spanish language institutes in the world.
The Spanish Centre of Chowgule College is now the only Centre in the state of Goa to be associated with Instituto Cervantes.
