Chowgule College organized its first Graduation Ceremony at its college premises recently for the graduating batch of 2010 – 2013. Students turned graduates received the coveted degrees in Bachelors of Science and Arts after having completed three years of excellence in academics.
The event was presided over by Chief Guest Prashant Shinde, President of Verna Industries Association, who delivered the convocation address. Also present at the occasion was the Principal Dr. R.V. Gaonkar, Vice Principal Dr. Sawant, students, parents and faculty members of the institute.
The graduation ceremony began with a report on the institute’s performance highlighting the achievements of the institute during the last academic year. Prashant Shinde delivered an inspirational convocation address by sharing his experience as an entrepreneur in a packaging company; his struggles and perseverance that made him the individual he is today.
A total of 130 students were awarded their degrees at the first graduation ceremony organized by the college. The Hira Wagh Awardfor year 2012-13 was presented to Gauravi Keni for her excellence in all round development; Gauravi completed her Bachelor’s degree in English. The Deans of Sciences, Social sciences and Languages felicitated the new graduates of BA and B.Sc Coordinator for Post Gradation Programs, Dr. Nandini Vaz felicitated the students with the PG Diploma and Masters degree.
