Peter T. Hassan, Advisor (Strategy & Planning) at Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), Honorary Consul for Russian Federation at Hyderabad, Consultant on Corporate and Governmental Relations, and CEO of Peter Hassan Associates was recently honoured with Governor General of Canada, His Excellency David Johnston Medallion for his dedication to helping Canada to effectively engage with India. This unique honour follows the recent highest civilian award to an Indian, the “Order de Mayo” by His Excellency President of Argentina to Peter in 2011.
His Excellency David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, presented this prestigious honour to Peter Hassan at a glittering function recently held at the residence of His Excellency Stewart Beck, High Commissioner of Canada in India, alongside five other distinguished Indians, specially chosen from all over India. This was yet another significant recognition to the low-profile but hugely popular Management Consultant.
Presenting the award, the Governor General complimented Peter Hassan for his strong commitment and support to improving bilateral ties between Canada and India and in His Excellency’s own words, he said “Our two countries are strengthened by your hard work. Thank you once again for your support of Canada in India. I wish you the very best in your efforts”.
