On the occasion of World Environment Day, BLive e-bike tours organised ‘Ride as One – Cycle-A-Thon’, in order to raise awareness about sustainable mobility and the immediate need for the reduction in carbon emissions globally. Through the event, Ebike and cycle riders came together to ride as one and promote electric vehicles and sustainable tourism through the scenic roads of Miramar and Panjim.

The event was attended by Ex- Chief of the Goa Fire Services, Ashok Menon. Over 30 individuals participated in the cycle-a-thon. The event was flagged off at Miramar Residency recently.

Ashok Menon, along with the BLive team planted a sapling at Miramar Residency towards the end of the event to solidify the message for a greener Goa.

To add on to the spirit, a troupe of enthusiastic dancers came together at the venue to showcase a Zumba routine which was endearing to the eyes of the public present. They were eventually joined in by onlookers and the BLive team.

Ashok Menon presented the certificates and congratulated the participants for being an active part of the event. In his speech, he highlighted the importance of events such as these and thanked the BLive team for putting together the event.

Sandeep Mukherjee, COO and Co Founder of BLive, says “BLive has been a major proponent of sustainability in Goa. BLive’s E-bike tours will continue to highlight critical actions that we, as local and global citizens, must take collectively. As a result, with the theme of One Earth and the goal of raising awareness about carbon emissions reduction, BLive is taking long strides to achieve the goal quickly and effectively. BLive will continue to work to raise awareness about environmental issues.”

With the air quality index in Panaji constantly signalling off a red flag due to its poor score of 60 AQI, it can be inferred that the air quality has deteriorated over time.
