Subsequently a five members team from Gogate Jogalekar college visited Chowgule College recently. The team had detailed meetings and discussions with the faculty members and took stock of the research and infrastructural facilities available at the college.
Said Dr. R.V Gaonkar, Principal, Chowgule College, “The team from Gogate Joglekar College who visited us recently were pleased to see the quality of teaching methods, infrastructure and our vision for enhancing quality education at chowgule College. We too visited their college a few months ago. The college teams having interacted at length with each other, the colleges are now in a position to better understand, collaborate and develop linkages with each other in an effort to benefit students of the colleges”.
Added Dr. S.A Deo, Principal, Gogate Joglekar College, “At this juncture, since both the institutions are working towards an ‘Autonomous Status’ and initiating new courses, this MOU would enable the institutions in formation of a board of studies and subsequently in sharing of faculty for select courses. Research however would form the core of this MOU. The identified thrust areas which the colleges would be collaborating on are physics, chemistry, geography, life sciences and languages. We along with Chowgule College are committed to excellence in the field of education and are confident that we will be able to move forward together”
The two colleges of repute will collaborate on research, trainings, teaching-learning methods and other aspects in the near future.
