On the occasion of International Coastal Cleanup Day, Domino’s Pizza employees came together to participate in a coastal cleaning drive in Goa today. Water bodies like beaches, rivers, ferry points and lakes in the area were cleaned of debris, waste, plastic bags etc. by company employees who came forth to volunteer for this drive. Besides Goa, the activity also took place in Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Nasik and Aurangabad a day after thousands of worshippers celebrated Ganesh Visarjan by immersing idols in the surrounding water bodies.

After the jubilant celebrations of Ganesh Visarjan, the cleaning up of the coastal and water bodies where celebrations take place is a keen concern for local communities. The clean up initiated by Domino’s was a collective effort of the employees to address this issue. At Panjim Ferry, over 80 employees from Domino’s assembled to participate in the cleanup drive and be a part of the social cause.

On the occasion of this coastal cleanup drive, Mr. Ajay Kaul, CEO, Jubilant FoodWorks Limited said– “Jubilant FoodWorks has always believed that as a corporate we have a very important social responsibility towards the society and the environment. We have always tried to inculcate and mentor each of our employees on the same lines. The coastal cleanup drive initiated by Domino’s in West India is our sincere efforts to give back to the community. This is a collective effort which has been undertaken by our employees to contribute towards a cleaner and healthier environment in these particular regions.”
